the journey of 1000 miles starts with a single step...

Well, I am going to start off this thing with a folding, rechargable, electric unicycle. Yike Bike is rad!

Normally, I scoff with smugness toward new and (universally lame) attempts to redesign a bicycle.  This thing actually looks like it has some promise.  I seriously want to ride one.  How does it work on hills?

David Pogue tested it for nytimes too.

For one-person commuting, i think this is totally awesome idea.  Maybe in the future, when people start using these, and robots take over, we'll see fewer of those goofy things that you stand up on and lean into (whose company owner died while using).

I got soaked on my commute this morning by the way...and now its snowing, awesome.  I love February!

  1. I agree, Yike Bike is pretty fresh, and I definitely want to take one for a spin, but I wish there was also a pedaling element to it. Imagine a 22 pound folding bike (with racks and fenders of course) that you mostly pedal, but with a push of a button can go 15mph up hills. That is what I'm looking for. Yike Bike is more like a weird motorized chair.
